Guidelines for picking up your OCI documents from
India Passport and Visa Services Centre

If your OCI documents had been lodged prior to
Thursday, 21 February 2008, they should be collected from the Consulate

  1. Original receipt.
  2. File No issued.
  3. Your current Australian passport. This is essential for endorsement of OCI Visa Sticker on your passport and handing over the Certificate to you.
  4. PIO card (If a PIO card Holder)
  5. Your cancelled Indian passport. Please note that according to Government of India regulations it is illegal for any person to hold a regular Indian passport after having obtained a foreign passport.
  6. A letter of Authority from the Applicant - (if coming on behalf of Applicant).
  7. For minor children, please bring copy of Australian/foreign passport of either parent.

In case the passport is being sent by post, please send a self-addressed return envelope, either Express Post or Registered post. The applicants may please send their passport with a letter, duly signed, giving the reference of their File Number.

All applicants must bring their File Nos.

Please note that it is mandatory to carry your OCI visa in your foreign passport and OCI card when travelling to India.
