In case of exceptional Emergency situations – In case of death
of a relative/ serious medical condition of any family
member HANDWRITTEN PASSPORTS will be issued for a
maximum period of upto one year. Applicants should give evidence of the emergency
situation. For this service before expiry of the limited
validity passport, the holder should apply for Machine Readable Passport of normal validity with
the required fee specified in the relevant section.
